Message	The AIV's inject air before the cats which gives them the air (oxygen) they need to burn off the excess fuel. By unplugging the vacuum line you put the extra air in at the intake. Wherever the air gets into the system the HC's should be lowered. The cats won't work if there is no oxygen available for conbustion.
